The South Korean firm is preparing a new sport utility with more passenger space, derived from the brand new generation of the compact.
The new Hyundai Crete has already been presented in several countries in Asia and one of the next destinations for 2021 will be the American continent.
As the brand prepares to land in the West, now another novelty is an unprecedented SUV based on the compact sport utility, but with room for seven occupants.
Hyundai’s new seven-seat SUV?

According to MotorBeam revealed, in India the Alcazar name was registered and it could be the same that will carry the future model of the Asian automaker.
The rumors came to light, since currently there is no vehicle of the brand with that name and that is why it is expected to debut in one of the next releases.
Some mules have already been seen conducting the first trials in South Korea, but there are no plans to introduce it yet. Everything would indicate that the debut will be next year.
In design it will be quite similar to Crete, but it will have several unique characteristics. For example, according to the site, the front will have a larger grille with chrome inserts inspired by the Palisade SUV. The front and rear bumpers would also be different and at least the taillights will have their own style.
7-seater Creta engine
The 5-seater Creta is available with 1.5-liter petrol, 1.5-liter diesel, and 1.4-liter GDI turbo-petrol engine options.

In dimensions it will be longer and the wheelbase will be increased, combined with greater weight. In equipment, it is expected to have new upholstery and colors, added to ambient light, 360 ° camera, front and rear parking sensors.
Apparently, under the hood there will be no changes with respect to the five seats.
What about pricing?
The upcoming 7-seater Hyundai Creta will surely carry a significant premium over the existing BS6-compliant 2020 Creta that starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh.
It is expected to make a global debut in 2021 and reach the Indian market later in the year.
As for rivalry, the premium SUV will take on the likes of MG Hector Plus and Tata Gravitas.
