Contemporary Architecture of Iporanga House integration of Nature

Contemporary Architecture: We see here one fine Example of Contemporary Architecture of Iporanga House. This Contemporary Architecture of Iporanga House is really one of the integration of man made creation with nature.

I really appreciate the effort put by architect to create balance in design and give satisfactory result to their client, also.

  • Design Considerations :

  1. Iporanga House ground floor there is a small enclosed area for services. A small accommodation for a house keeper couple, a laundry and a deposit.
  2. Design of the Iporanga House first floor created to support all the program social activities, living, dining room the kitchen and the swimming pool.
  3. The wood frame space is the “private” part of the Iporanga House, so, the street side is enclosed by opaque boards ( of wood and covered on both faces with a concrete slab), glass panels along with a nylon curtain.
  4. On the forest side,  we create aluminum sliding doors opening for rooms to a common veranda.
  5. This volume creates a shadow on the slab, and we used that shadow for the social area.
  6. This floor is almost an open space, protected on all sides by transparent temperate glass sliding panels, so the forest can be seen at all times.
  7. The intention was to decrease the difference between inner and outside space of Iporanga House, making it work all as one integration area.
  8. The structural concept of the Iporanga House was inspired by small brook bridges typical from this litoraneal area.
  9. The foundation in humid soil, concrete columns support the Steel beans which support the wood frame.
  10. We tried to make the construction an assembling of parts more than an in loco process, about less waste at the building site, more agility and proper use of industrialized materials.
