Mahindra xuv 700: Mahindra & Mahindra is bringing to India the latest SUV from its South Korean partner Ssangyong. XUV. The XUV500 will lose its flagship position in Mahindra’s lineup this year. Mahindra has just revised G4 Ssangyong Rexton. Which has made its official debut at the Auto Expo 2018, will soon become the most expensive SUV you can buy from the homegrown automaker. We would not be surprised if Mahindra sold the new luxury flagship. It is technically the second-gen SsangYong Rexton, but will be marketed under Mahindra’s label in its second innings in the country. The XUV700 will also compete with the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner and is likely to undercut the two when it is launched later this year. It is expected to be priced in the range of the Isuzu MU-X. Mahindra will assemble this SUV in India as a CKD and many parts will also be made locally. Which starts at Rs 28 lakh. The Endeavour and the Fortuner, for instance, begins from Rs 28.64 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (diesel) (all prices, showroom India).

The G4 Rexton will be 7-seater and it will have a 2.2-liter power turbo diesel engine. No, this will not be the mHawk engine used in many SUVs of Mahindra, it will be a diesel engine developed by Ssangyong for global use. The 2.2 liters diesel engine in Rexton will generate torque of power of 178 bhp and 420 nm.
