iHeartradio the popular music platform of iHeartmedia revealed a music streaming application targeting kids. In New York City at an event of the renowned media group, the officials of iHeartmedia said that the app was built mainly targeting the younger audience and it is expecting a grand success to come in near future centralizing the newly launched application.

Targeting age group of the music streaming app is four to eleven and by keeping that in mind they made the layout really funky yet simple & user friendly. However, iHeartradio is a radio network founded in April, 2008 with works as both internet radio and music recommender system. Let’s dig further about its new launched kid-friendly music streaming application.

The app is dubbed as ‘iHeartradio Family’ which was developed really carefully as its main audience is generally kids, so that nothing inappropriate or offensive content missteps into the application.

There’s been a rumour that iHeartmedia is planning to join the most controversial movie streaming app Showbox to make an online movie streaming application targeting kids along with Showbox for PC, a version that will also run on PC or Desktop.

However, Offical spokesperson of the company hasn’t gave any hint about it anyway. Currently the iHeartradio app is available in New Zealand, United States and Australia and the company is devising to expand more further globally with their new app iHeartradio family.

At the time of launch, demonstrator shown a app feature that comes with guest stations of DJ featuring sons list of 5 Seconds of Summer, Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez. Along with that the application also features channels that have iHeartradio Family Top 30 Countdown, Acoustic Time Out, Sing-Alongs Radio, Disney Junior etc. Several high profile singers and media stars will also be included to the app to gain the attention of young listeners.

The iHeartmedia also made a partnership with Build-A-Bea regarding the new application of it. This is also the first time that the media company made a tie up with a non-music platform in order to launch their new streaming application targeting kid. Anyway, the officials also gave a hint that iHeartmedia don’t want iHeartradio family to just be a streaming platform, in near future the company also want to see it as a story telling app. Now that we can understand the reason behind its partnership, the company is surely setting up something big targeting the younger audience across the world.

At the moment iHeartmedia is just planning to promote the new stand-alone app targeting the kids of USA. As the company already has a huge radio network in the company it will surely help the app to become well-known in few months. The existing app has already millions of subscribers across three countries, i.e. Australia, USA and New Zealand. Well, the kid-app is initially launching in United States, the officials haven’t made any confirmation yet regarding of its launch in other countries.
