Hello Folks,.. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei might have said that the OnePlus 2 will be the only flagship from the company for the year 2015, but leaks around another OnePlus smartphone called OnePlus X have already started taking place.
The OnePlus X has a more premium look than the OnePlus 2, a fingerprint sensor at the back, 5-inch screen and the same Snapdragon 801 processor and the pricing could be around $249. The report goes on to add that the OnePlus X might be launched this month itself.
OnePlus X The Mid-Range SmartPhone
The Moto X Play and the OnePlus 2 are perhaps the two most sought-after mid-range phones today. We mean mid-range strictly in the sense of the price, since at least the OnePlus 2 has aspirations to slug it out with more expensive flagship phones when it comes to specifications and performance.
OnePlus X Features and Specs
OnePlus X will feature a 5-inch full HD display and will house the year old Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, which was seen in the OnePlus One. This is in like with co-founder Carl Pei’s statement that OnePlus would have only one flagship this year. It also confirms OnePlus’ plans to enter the budget segment it the sub-Rs 20k segment.
The OnePlus X is expected to undergo a design refresh according to renders. One can see a dual rear-camera setup, a circular finger-print scanner and more pronounced grilles for speakers. The OnePlus X will use the same USB Type-C port that was also used in the OnePlus 2. There in no clarity however, if the renders will be the final design.
The pricing is rumored to be in the $249 region which comes to around Rs 16,500. If released at this price, and with sensible invite systems, this phone could really prove to be promising given OnePlus’ history. Of course there is competition the phone will face from incumbents such as the Xiaomi Mi 4 and Motorola Moto X Play, among others.
