Skoda Auto is set to launch the new Slavia car on November 18, 2021, as an alternative to the Rapid sedan. Designed on the platform of the Kushak car, it shares various features including the engine of this car.
The Slavia car gets a 1.0-liter TSI three-cylinder engine and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder TSI, both of which are turbocharged petrol models.
The 1.0-liter engine delivers 113bhp and 175Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic torque converter.

Next, the 1.5-liter engine produces a maximum of 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG automatic.
It is expected to be available in Slavia showrooms by the beginning of 2022 , and the price is expected to be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Slavia will face the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki , Civic.
